Annual General Meeting 2014

On Saturday 25th January 2014, the Victoria Scout Group held its Annual General Meeting at its headquarters. Various council members and the Group Scout Leader delivered their reports.

Presentations followed.

• Venture Scout of the Year – Jurgen Attard
• Scout of the Year – Andrea Galea
• Cub Scout of the Year, Seeonee Pack – Michele Terribile
• Cub Scout of the Year, Saturday Pack – Simon Formosa.

Certificates of Merit were presented to Venture Scout Beppe Galea and Scout Max Scerri. The Kestrel Patrol received the Salvinu Camilleri Shield while the Brown Six (Seeonee Pack) and the Green Six (Saturday Pack), winners of the Inter-Six Monthly Competition were presented with certificates and badges.

Guest speaker Carmel Cachia delivered a short talk highlighting how relevant his Scouting years were for both his personal and professional life.

The Thanks Badge was presented to Mrs Patricia Galea in recognition of various years of service to the group.

Finally the Group Scout Leader, Lorrie Saliba announced that the end of 2013 marked the end of term of Maryrose Pace as a Cub Scout Leader. Ms Pace had occupied this post for the past 23 years. The Group Scout Leader expressed the group's and the members' thanks and gratitude for these long years of dedicated service. He announced that Ms Pace will still form part of the group council and be in charge of the Scout Shop at headquarters.

The meeting ended with the investiture ceremony of 6 Cub Scouts, namely Nathan Azzopardi, Nathan Bonello, Michael Curmi, Sam Morgan, Lucas Said and Gabriel Vella.
