The Group's Chaplain is
conferred Ġieħ il-Belt Victoria

The group would like congratulate the Group Chaplain Mgr Joseph Farrugia on being conferred with the honour Ġieħ il-Belt Victoria as part of the Victoria Day celebration on the 10th June 2013.

Mgr Farrugia, Archpriest Emeritus of St George’s Basilica, is a learned theologian and academic. He is the author of various scholarly articles and books. He is also the spiritual director of the La Stella Philharmonic Society and President of the Commission Malta in Europe of the Maltese Bishop’s Conference. Recently he was instrumental in the creation of a new interactive Museum, Il-Ħagar – Heart of Gozo next to St George’s Basilica.
