Blood Donating Session 2013

Donating blood saves lives.

As part of the activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the group, a blood donating session was organized at the Gozo General Hospital on Sunday 1st September 2013. Around 30 persons — leaders, parents, supporters and others — participated in this good turn.

This is not the first time that this Scout group has organized a blood drive or similar good turns. All members of the Scout Movement are requested to adhere to the Scout Law and Promise. Promising to do one's best to help other people at all times is part of the Scout Promise.

The group would like to thank all those who responded to its appeal. The group would also like to thank Mr Tony Micallef and the staff of the National Blood Transfusion Unit and that of the Gozo General Hospital.
