Summer Camp 2012
Report by CSL Anita Muscat
The Victoria Scout Group recently held its summer camp at Dwejra. The camp started on Saturday 28th July and ended on Saturday 4th August 2012. Around 90 campers were present. Each section had its own programme. The Cub Sections shared a common programme and toured Ancient Egypt since their theme focused on this civilization. The Troop undertook a trip through outer space — across planets, moons and asteroids. The Venture Unit built two towers and a spectacular entry to the campsite. They also gave a helping hand to the other sections. A barbeque and campfire for around 500 parents and supporters was held mid way through camp. Visitors to camp included H.E. Mons Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo and Dr Samuel Azzopardi, Mayor of Victoria as well as Scouts from Malta and overseas.
