National Venture Camp 2012
Report Summary by CSL Anita Muscat
A group of Ventures from the Victoria Scout Group Unit participated in the National Venture Camp held at the Għajn Tuffieħa campsite in Malta in November 2012. Those present were divided into groups for the Venture Rally. This consisted of a series of challenges including garbage picking, a swimming competition at the National Indoor Pool, a Treasure Hunt at Mdina and learning how to make a glass vase with a glass blower. They were also entertained to a fencing display and a live concert by a rock band. The Ventures chose French cuisine for dishes presented for a cooking competition. Other activities were geocaching, the popular game British-Bulldog and Rope Access Activities on the High Ropes.
It was good fun, physically demanding and very exhilarating for all. The closing ceremony, which included the very popular "Gangnam Style" dance, rounded off this camp.
