Group Meeting – October 2012

At the beginning of October, which month marks the start of another Scouting year in October, the group organized a group meeting at its headquarters. The Group Chaplain, Mgr Joseph Farrugia celebrated mass. This was offered for the repose of the souls of Elena Psaila, mother of Council member Mary Aquilina and Charlie Galea, former Secretary of the Group Council who recently passed away.

After mass, the Group Scout Leader, Lorrie Saliba, introduced the new members to the rest of the group. These members will be joining both the Packs and the Troop sections. The investiture ceremony of two Cub Scouts started the ceremonial part of the meeting. This was followed by the 'going up' ceremonies of some Cubs into the Troop section and some Scouts into the Venture Unit.
