Marquee Dinner 2011

The month of October is synonymous with the fundraising lunch under the marquee at Dwejra. This year was no exception and this lunch was planned for Sunday 16th October 2011. However, this year the lunch was held at headquarters because of inclement weather.

A menu with a Greek theme was chosen. Spanakopita, a cheese and spinach pie was served first. This was followed by Fassolatha, a tomato and bean soup. The main course consisted of marinated chicken, oregano potatoes, tsatsiki and a Greek salad. A Karidopita, an orange, walnut and spice cake rounded off the meal.

A group of Venture Scouts helped the cooks and the other leaders to clean the headquarters (construction work on the reservoir was still under way), prepare the tables in the hall, serve the guests and clean up afterwards.
